I'm new to beard products - but this Valhalla Beard Butter is exactly as advertised - Great fragrance - easy to apply and my beard is actually softer (and i would know as my wife hates my beard and now doesn't mind it as much) and that speaks volumes. 5 Stars easy.

The cardboard tube is great for eco credentials but given the product's tendency to become soft at ambient temperatures it can quite quickly become a bit of a distorted mess. This makes it difficult to put the lid back on at times without some force which damages the deodorant stick. Not sure if the packaging could be stronger or the product could be a bit waxier.
Thanks for the feedback. You’re right, the cardboard tubes are great from an eco point of view, but they can be a bit less forgiving when the product softens in warmer temperatures. It’s a bit of a balance between keeping the formula smooth and easy to apply, while still holding up in the packaging. We’ll take that on board as we continue to refine things.
O my lord.... probably my new favorite alongside Pitmaster. Im really impressed with the quality, the oil softens the beard and the fragrance lasts all day. I also recommend getting the samples. Top notch

While it might lack the familiar rattle of the box (or plastic cup if you were at the movies) the scent is a nostalgic trip back to simpler times.

Thanks for the feedback. Our Strong Hold Moustache Wax is formulated to provide a firmer hold than our medium wax and beard balm, so it is intentionally quite firm in the tin. It’s designed to be scraped out in a very small amount and softened between the fingers before working through the moustache. Strong hold waxes will naturally feel firmer and less pliable compared to softer styling products, as that firmness is what provides the extra hold.
Wild West gives me the urge to suddenly quit my job and buy a horse and ride off into the sunset. Wearing it is like spending a night under the stars with the scent of gunpowder and whiskey lingering in my beard. If you want to smell like a rugged outlaw at high noon, this is the one.

I've tried 5 different flavors of LeJonJon beard butter and every single one made my Toasties just taste a bit off.
However, one day after eating one of my Toasties I realized that I dribbled some of this butter into my beard and my beard felt softer and more manageable than ever. OMG, this stuff is amazing when applied to your beard and not your Toasties!! I was doing it wrong this whole time :)
My favorite flavors now are Leather Pharaoh & Mountaineer

The beard oil was good as always but the beard wash scent was unpleasant and had a strong artificial smell to it.
I was mostly disappointed in the moustache wax as any scent was over powered by the strong beeswax smell, the holding power is weak and it doesn't soften very nicely between the fingers

Glad to hear the beard oil is still working well. The Arabica beard wash uses the same base formula as our other washes, with the only difference being the scent profile, which can come down to personal preference.
Our moustache wax is a traditional beeswax-based formula, which is intentionally much firmer than our beard balm. It’s designed to be scraped out in a small amount and softened between your fingers before applying. Wax performance and feel can vary depending on what you're used to, as different waxes use very different formulations.

I have one of those long curled moustaches, the kind that takes extra strength products to set into shape. I have in the past found 'Bluebeards revenge' wax very good for this - a solid shapable wax that sets strong and holds all day - but as recently I couldn't find anyone selling this I was forced to shop around for another option. I have previously tried 'Captain Fawcett's Expedition Strength' wax which is ok but doesn't hold strong all day like bluebeards did for sure. So I tried Lejonjon's strong hold.
My verdict - Bluebeards is still best. While Lejonjon is strong, stronger than captain Fawcett's IMHO, the consistency is much less workable. Its like really solid honey, feels sticky and is difficult to apply, work in, and shape. Once it is eventually shaped into place (assuming you have the patience to keep at it) then it does hold well, almost as well as bluebeards in fact and the pricepoint per ml is better. But overall I would prefer something more user friendly.
Although the wife was not a fan of this particular scent, the pliability and hold of this wax has me returning for more. I've tried other "strong hold" options but they're to hard to apply so I'll stick with lejonjon to shape and a hair cream to hold 👌
Product is good but I had reactions with the scent. I re-ordered the unscented and have had no issues. Unfortunately I have product which I can't use now.

Glad to hear the Unscented worked for you. Some people can react to fragrance oils, so if you’ve got sensitive skin our Unscented or essential oil ranges are usually the better fit.

I go the arabica and citrus explosion as samples. Both very good smelling.
As they advertise the arabica has a very strong coffee smell that last most of the day. If you love coffee then this is definitely a good choice.
The citrus explosion was a little disappointing although you get that a slightly chemical citrus smell at the start it doesn’t last as long, I found this one faded by early morning.
Very nice balm for your beard though and will be trying other samples to find the one I like.
So far my absolute favourite from them is Valhalla!!

Glad Arabica hit the mark and Valhalla is still holding top spot. Those two are fragrance-based blends, which tend to carry stronger and last longer. Citrus Explosion is essential oil based, so it’s naturally lighter and will fade quicker compared to heavier scent profiles.

A easy way to find out which scents you like, enough balm for 4-5 uses on a shorter beard. Good quality oil, keeps beard hydrated. Found a couple of scrnts I'll be buying in larger quantities.
